Hazardous household waste collection Oct. 19

Do you have hazardous household materials that you’d like to discard?
On Saturday, Oct. 19, the Shell Technology Center in southwest Houston will be hosting a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day to assist with the proper disposal of hazardous materials.
WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 19 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
WHERE: 3400 Westhollow Drive
The following items will be accepted for disposal:
- Household cleaners
- Fluorescent light bulbs including CFLs
- Fuels (gasoline, propane, diesel)
- Paints
- Pesticides and fungicides
- Pool treating chemicals
- Wood stains and varnishes
- Strippers, waxes and polishes
- Aerosols
- Antifreeze
- Motor oils and filters
- Batteries
- Electronics and computers
- Rubber tires
